Melting my heart

Hi everyone! Dani Donner here today some layering love. I created this page using some hexagon dies and lots of 3D adhesive. The cool part? The amazing effect of the layers:

The Swagger collection from Fancy Pants has so many beautiful patterns I couldn't resits... And the best way to use lots and lots  pattern patters is to layer them, lol!

The hexagons are still trendy and I still love them dearly, so... Hexagons galore! I wrote my journalling inside one of the hexagons to incorporate it to the theme. In the end, it looks like some sort of 3D quilt. :)

May kit layout with Jenny

Hello Boys Rule scrappy friends!! :)

Jenny here to share a quick post with you! I realized that I have not shared my National Scrapbooking Day layout with you all here yet, so....here it is! :)

My Boys Have Swag

My original idea was to tie the pins all together with the twine and adhere the tops down. But, then I decided to stick them through the corrugated paper. And, I loved it! It worked so well that you may see that again from me! Ha! ;)

That's all I have for you today! Have a good one! :)

Eye of the Tiger with Laura

Hi there!

It's Laura here and it's my turn to share today, this is what I created, using this month's fantastic kit featuring Fancy Pant's Swagger collection.

I was aiming for something a little different and quite simple.  I think I pulled it off.  Can you see the glaze that I flicked onto my page, it looks so cool and wet even when dry.
I had fun adding some stitching, pulling apart the colours of the twine to get a solid colour.
Did you know that this corrugated paper punches really nicely?  I haven't tried it with any intricate punches but with larger ones it works great!  I love that!
I had fun with my title, adding layers and stitching.
And these cards tuck in nicely for journaling.

Some background magic

Hi everyone! Dani Donner here to share a funky page I created with our May kit. I was feeling REALLY Artsy, so I created my background from scratch *GASP*. I took a black sharpie (and all the courage I have in me) and started drawing my crooked chevron. After that, I used the Glimmer Glaze and some watercolours to pain over some of the chevron.

The fun part is that you don't have to worry about staying inside the lines, or drawing straight precise lines. It took a lot of work to create this background and you want to show everyone it was completely hand made. :)

Cool, right! How about you, do you have the guts (LOL) do create your own background?

Thanks for stopping by,

Dani Donner

Hats off to you with Laura

Hi there!

It's Laura here and it's my turn to share today and this is what I created, using this month's fantastic kit featuring Fancy Pant's Swagger collection.

I had a little fun playing with the digital stamp that I created to coordinate with this kit.  I used my W00 Copic to add a bit of shadowing.

Celebrate 21 with Laura

Hi there!

It's Laura here and it is my turn to share a layout, this is what I created, using this month's fantastic kit featuring Fancy Pant's Swagger collection.....

I love these papers for just about anything boy related.  In this case I used them to document my middle son's 21st birthday.
 love the felt elements.
The corrugated paper was so fun to work with, I used two colours of it in two ways on this layout.

The perfect sized alphas for adding in little words here and there.

There were such great elements in this kit, like stickers, buttons and twine.  As well, as glaze, keys and brads!
